Excitement as Africa Movie Icon debuts

Prospective movie stars from Nigeria and Africa may now actualise their dreams of becoming movie celebrities as GRO-BED International Entertainment Limited kicks off its Pan Africa Movie Icon TV contest.

The winner of AMI, a 70-day TV contest for up and coming actors across Africa, will not only smile home with $100,000 but will also feature in an African unity film to be shot in Nigeria and other locations across Africa.

The expected movie icon will play a leading role alongside other established local and international stars.

The Chief Executive Officer of GRO-BED, Mr. Obed Edukere, said in a statement made available to our correspondent in Lagos that preparations were on top gear with the company‘s various affiliates foreign and local sponsors to ensure that the project begins as scheduled.

”We are now fully prepared to kick start this very exciting and interesting project that has taken us more than 24 months in planning. I can assure you that the Nigerian and indeed the African entertainment and movies industry will witness what has never been seen in the history of the industry when this project finally comes on stream.”

The Project Director, Mr. Ocheme Aba, also expressed confidence that the African Movie Icon would change the entertainment landscape in the whole of Africa from the beginning the search to the end.
